Two Motorcyclists Die in College Station Crash

Two motorcyclists are dead following a weekend crash in south College Station.

The victims are identified as 49 year old Don Hayman and 69 year old Patricia Hayman of Dodge Texas, which is located east of Huntsville.

Officers were told the Hayman’s were headed west on William D. Fitch Parkway Saturday during the noon hour when a pickup headed north on Tonkaway Lake Road pulled into the into the intersection, striking both cycles.

The driver of the truck, 35 year old James Leonard of Bryan, was not hurt.

The intersection was closed and traffic was blocked on Fitch from Highway 30 to the Williams Creek subdivision for more than five hours.

A crash at the same location two weeks ago landed the former interim chancellor of the Texas A&M Univesity System, Jay Kimbrough, in the hospital. That’s after Kimbrough’s westbound truck on Fitch was struck by a northbound pickup that had pulled out from a stop on Tonkaway.
