Dedication of A&M’s New CIADM

A dedication program was held Monday for the Texas A&M Center for Innovation and Advanced Development and Manufacturing (CIADM).

The program was held at the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing, one of five locations involving 19 public and private partners.

The A&M CIADM was founded on an initial $285.6 million public-private partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and is designed to enhance the nation’s emergency preparedness against emerging infectious diseases, including pandemic influenza, and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

The state of Texas committed $40 million to the nearly $300 million project and the federal government $176 million.
