Two weeks after getting out of jail for a parole violation, a Bryan woman was arrested on charges of stealing credit cards and blank checks.
32 year old Tiffany Margaret Taylor a passenger in a SUV that was stopped by College Station Police for not having current insurance and expired registration.
When the patrolman found marijuana a search of the vehicle included a pocketbook belonging to another woman with whom Taylor shared a jail cell.
That pocketbook contained several cards and the checks. Taylor, who has used ten other names according to court records, is held in lieu of bonds totaling $279,000 dollars.
The arrest report noted most of the checks were made out to local businesses, were dated for May 30, and were over $200. The officer also found the receipts for the checks and gift cards that were purchased with the checks he found.
