Tucker Anderson of Calvert and Kyle Kacal of rural College Station advanced to the July 31st runoff in the Republican race for the House District 12 seat that now takes in portions of Brazos, Robertson, Falls, Limestone, and McLennan counties.
Anderson won four of the five counties. The exception was Brazos County, where Kacal generated 1,422 votes, which was more than half his overall total. That helped Kacal finish second by a margin of 61 votes over Scotti, who finished second in Brazos County with 1,160 votes. Anderson was third with 706 votes.
Kacal finished third in the counties where Anderson won and Scotti was second in four counties and fourth in McLennan counties.
