2,000 BTU customers were without power for nearly one hour in the heat of Memorial Day afternoon.
The cause was a transformer problem at the Shady Lane substation located east of Texas and north of University.
Most of those affected were along Texas and 29th.
A total of 3,700 customers initially lost power at 5:17 p.m.
The remaining 1,700 customers had outages lasting between three and 13 minutes.
