Every five years alumni, educators, and supporters of the former E.A. Kemp High School in Bryan gather for an all-school reunion.
Thursday marks the start of the four day affair. Many of the activities will be held at the Brazos Valley African American Museum.
Director Velma Spivey says 300 have pre-registered to attend reunion activities. The public is invited to several events.
They include a gospel sing Friday night at 7:30 at Allen Chapel, a pep rally Saturday morning starting around 9 (participants are scheduled to line up at 8 a.m.) at the museum, followed by a parade starting at 10 from the museum to Kemp Elementary School.
Saturday afternoon from 2 until 4 there is a reception at the museum, featuring a display of Kemp High School items. The display will continue through the end of September.
And Sunday morning at 10:45 is a church service at the Brazos Center featuring a choir made up of former students.
The museum is located at 500 East Pruitt Street in Bryan.
