Zimmerman says the city’s demolition budget of $40,000 dollars is down to $3,600. Acting City Manager Kean Register suggested to Zimmerman applying money for an open staff position towards demolition.

The council was told when this year’s money is spent, remaining demolition will be postponed until the start of the new budget year on October 1st.
Demolition was one topic discussed. Also brought up was the abundance of spring rainfall resulting in more lawn maintenance at this time of the year. Councilman Paul Madison called on for discretion in addressing complaints of overgrown yards.
