Man Arrested in College Station Park For Drug Charges and Child Endangerment
A man was arrested after police found him sleeping inside a car parked in Brian Bachmann Park after hours. College Station Police say they observed the car around 2:00am on Tuesday morning. 40-year-old Cory Jamaine Ozoeze, of Houston, was asleep in the driver’s seat with a child in his lap. Officers had to tap the window several times before they could awake Ozoeze from his slumber. They observed that the man was sweating profusely even though the ambient temperature was approximately 63 degrees at the time. Ozoeze appeared disoriented, spoke slowly, and had a disconnected gaze consistent with PCP intoxication. The child’s mother later arrived on foot and told officers she and the man had been dating for a few months. A search of Ozoeze’s vehicle uncovered a bottle containing liquid PCP weighing approximately 11.8 grams. Officer also recovered 4.2 grams of crack cocaine. He was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1/1-B, 4-200 grams) and Endangering a Child with Criminal Negligence. Ozoeze remains jailed on $65,000 bond.
