For property owners who missed paying half their tax bills, the entire amount is due on Tuesday.
Brazos County Tax Assessor-Collector Kristy Roe says there are two growing problems for taxpayers attempting to avoid interest charges for missing the January 31st deadline.
One involves taxpayers using the mail but missing the January 31st postmark because the Postal Service has changed its processing schedule.
Roe says the other issue involves payments made by electronic check through taxpayers banks, which the banks don’t process until after Tuesday’s deadline. She recommends making electronic payments through her office website, which you can reach by clicking HERE.
