Proposed Building Regulations Headed to Bryan Council

After two years of meetings, the Bryan City Council will be considering restrictions to the owners of commercial buildings.

One of two proposed ordinances involves exterior colors. Planning Administrator Martin Zimmerman says the intent is to eliminate bright and neon colors. He adds it is not a response to choices made by the owners of Hispanic-owned businesses.

The council will also consider new regulations on building designs for new construction and remodeling over 50 percent of existing structures.

WTAW’s Scott DeLucia visits with Martin Zimmerman and Michelle Audenaert from the City of Bryan.
