GRIMES COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE PRESS RELEASE 10/27/2026: On October 5, 2025, the College Station Police Department took a report of child sexual abuse. College Station Police Detective Brittany Martinez began working the case. Through her investigation, she discovered the male child had been molested in Brazos, Grimes and Waller County over a nearly 10-year period. Detective Martinez referred the case to the Navasota Police Department, due to Grimes County, Texas being the primary location of the child victim’s abuse, while he was under 14 years of age. Navasota Detective Travis Mullins was assigned to investigate the Grimes County case. Detective Mullins learned Sebastian Domingo began abusing the victim around age 5. Between 2015 and 2022, the abuse escalated until Sebastian Domingo went to prison for Assault on a Peace Officer in March 2022. In February 2024, Sebastian Domingo made parole. At that time, the victim was living in Waller County, Texas. Domingo returned to abusing the victim, now almost daily. In March 2024, the victim moved to College Station in Brazos County. At this point, he was over 14 years of age. There were more sexual assaults in Brazos County during 2024 and 2025. In October 2025, the victim outcried to a family member regarding what Sebastian Domingo had been doing to him. On December 1, 2025, Detective Mullins and Grimes County DA Chief Investigator John Wren met with Sebastian Domingo at the College Station Police Department for a voluntary interview. During the interview, Domingo denied all allegations made by the victim and agreed to take a polygraph. DPS Agent Clay Zotz administered the polygraph the same afternoon. Domingo failed the exam. Domingo then confessed to Agent Zotz he had sexually assaulted the male victim once in Navasota prior to going to prison. In Domingo’s account of the incident, the victim initiated the sexual contact. Sebastian Domingo was taken into custody later the same day for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. On December 2, 2025, Investigator Wren conducted a custodial interview with Sebastian Domingo at the Grimes County Jail. During this interview, Investigator Wren obtained a confession to four sexual assaults by Domingo against the victim. Domingo described two sexual assaults in Navasota occurring before he went to prison in 2022 and two sexual assaults in Brazos County occurring after he was released from prison in 2024. Throughout the interview, the Defendant asserted the victim initiated the incidents. He blamed drug use for his poor decisions. In February 2026, a Grimes County Grand Jury indicted Sebastian Domingo for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child. This offense is a first-degree felony, which carries a punishment range of 25 to 99 years or life in prison, with no possibility of parole. This offense requires the State to prove the Defendant sexually abused the victim at least twice, while under 14 years of age, over at least a 30 day period of time. On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the jury trial for this case began in the 12th District Court presided over by District Judge David Moorman. Assistant District Attorney Tammy Thomas prosecuted the case for the State of Texas. During testimony, the jury heard from the outcry witness, the victim, an extraneous offense victim, and law enforcement officers. While Investigator John Wren was on the stand, the jury heard the confession of Sebastian Domingo to Wren. The jury also heard a second confession, by Domingo to his girlfriend on a jail call, found by Investigator Wren. The Defendant, Sebastian Domingo, also testified. He claimed he gave a false confession to law enforcement because he wanted to make a phone call. Domingo then admitted while being cross-examined by ADA Thomas that he had not been promised a phone call by anyone in law enforcement. The jury returned a guilty verdict for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child in under 20 minutes. On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the sentencing portion of the trial was held. The jury heard from the victim’s mother about the effect of the abuse on the victim and their family. They also heard about the defendant’s criminal history. The jury deliberated briefly and sentenced Sebastian Domingo to life in prison. Following sentencing, the victim’s mother and sister other addressed the Defendant directly with victim impact statements. Many members of the jury stayed in the courtroom to witness the victim’s family speak. Sebastian Domingo is in the custody of the Grimes County Jail awaiting transfer to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. “This Defendant preyed on a young child for nearly a decade. He first blamed the victim and then attempted to recant his confession. He clearly has no remorse for his behavior and is dangerous. The jury saw the evidence, convicted him and have now made sure he will never have the chance to hurt another child.” — Assistant District Attorney Tammy Thomas Got a news tip? e-mail us at news@wtaw.com, text us at (979) 695-1620, or reach out on Facebook or Twitter/X.
