The College Station City Council is ready to sell 65 acres of land near Lick Creek Park.
However, the timing of how its done was not a unanimous decision.
During Thursday’s workshop, councilmembers Blanche Brick and Dave Ruesink wanted input from the park’s advisory committee.

Mayor Nancy Berry, who recalled she and Fields campaigned in part on selling city-owned property, expected a sale of this land by the end of the year.

The vacant land, now zoned for agriculture, will be sold for the construction of single family homes similar to what’s found in neighboring developments that includes Pebble Creek and Williams Creek.
