The Bryan City Council covered alot of ground in just over an hour Tuesday night.
Click to hear the story from WTAW’s Chris Clift:
Late last year Council started to look at possible regulations for residential personal care facilities.
Mayor Mark Conlee says he believes they made the right decision last night by voting to leave things the way they are.
That means a conditional use permit through Planning and Zoning is required to have such a facility.
Conlee says staying with the current option offers people the chance to complain, praise and/or eventually take their case to Council if there is an issue with a residential personal care facility.
The City is also preparing to take over management of Coulter Airfield when the current contract ends March 31.
City Manager David Watkins says he is concerned about rumors that have been floating regarding the City expanding the airport over an existing subdivision.
He says they have looked at whether it makes sense to extend the runway, but there are certainly no plans in place to start buying out homes in the area
