Bombers fall to Cutters, 6-3

The 1st half of the Texas Collegiate League season comes to an end tonight and two teams will secure playoff spots, those with the best two percentage point records.

The Brazos Valley Bombers suffered a setback in their chances yesterday with a 6-3 loss at the Acadiana Cane Cutters.

That put the Bombers tied for third in the standings with Coppell, behind the 1st half champ East Texas Pump Jacks and Acadiana.

So for the Bombers to earn the second spot, they must beat the Cane Cutters tonight in Youngsville, La. and hope Coppell loses to Victoria. A tie between the Bombers and Coppell would go Coppell’s way as they won the series between the two teams 7-5 this year.

The Bombers will be home for four-straight game starting tomorrow night with the Pump Jacks.
