A man was arrested for providing wristbands to minors that allowed them to consume beer at an Aggie tailgate.
Texas A&M University Police observed two men that did not appear to be of legal drinking age consuming beer in a hosted tailgate around 11:00am Saturday. IDs confirmed that the men were 18 and 20 years of age, but they had wristbands to be inside the tent that required patrons to be at least 21 years old.
They said a man named “Freddie,” who was later identified as 48-year-old Fernando Lee Lopez, Jr., provided them with the wristbands. Lopez initially claimed no involvement, but later admitted that he “may have” provided them with the wristbands and beer.
While Lopez was being arrested, officers found 45-milligrams of Adderall in his shorts. He was charged with Purchasing Alcohol for a Minor by Making it Available and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, less than one gram. He was released on $10,000 bond.
18-year-old Micah Moore and 20-year-old Brady Duque were cited for Minor In Possession.
