1 Dead, 2 Injured in Fiery 3 Vehicle Crash in Grimes County

A search of arrest records for Friday, August 28 – Sunday August 30, 2026 revealed 26 alcohol related arrests. 9 DWIs/DWI-related arrests, 16 public intoxication arrests, and 1 case of furnishing alcohol to a minor arrest. 20 arrests were in/near the Northgate Entertainment District. 14 of the 26 alcohol related arrests involve a defendant UNDER the age of 21. One man is jailed after an alleged road rage incident Saturday night. Reports say that 35-year-old David Anthony Lamb and 49-year-old Christopher Lee Alvarado were involved in a verbal altercation outside of the Los Cucos on Highway 6 near Boonville Road just after 9:00pm Saturday. Lamb says that Alvarado threw a drink at his vehicle. Alvarado says Lamb tried to run him off the road. Both men ended up outside of their vehicles in the restaurant parking lot where Lamb was pepper sprayed by Alvarado. Lamb says he unholstered his handgun only after he was pepper sprayed. Alvarado claims he responded after Lamb drew his weapon. When Bryan Police arrived, the found Lamb in the Los Cucos restroom soaking his eyes with paper towels. He advised officers that he had a handgun in his waistband. After interviewing both men, police arrested Lamb for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Alvarado was released from the scene. Lamb is being held on $50,000 bond. A search of each man’s criminal history show that both have previous arrests in Brazos County. Lamb has previous offenses for Evading Arrest, Theft Under $500, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Alvarado was sent to prison in 1994 for Attempted Murder. When he was picked up by the U.S. Marshal Service in 2006, he was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 (4-200 grams), Possession of Marijuana (between 4oz-5lbs), and 7 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was also arrested in 2002 for Possession of Marijuana.

A woman crashed her pickup into a parked fire truck near Northgate early Saturday. The College Station Police and Fire Departments were on the scene of a wreck on Wellborn near University just after 2:30am Saturday morning. The fire truck was blocking a lane of traffic to allow responders to safely work the scene. 21-year-old Kylee Cheyenne Davis, of Midland, then drove her pickup into the fire truck on scene. No one was injured, but the impact was enough to cause significant damage to the fire truck’s diamond plate bumper. Reports say Davis was unable to stop swaying and failed a field sobriety test. She reportedly admitted to drinking 3 to 4 shots and 2 to 3 beers. She refused a voluntary blood sample, but a warrant obtained and a sample was taken at St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan. Davis was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. She remains jailed on $5,000 bond.
