GPS Leads to Recovery of Stolen Skid Steer in Burleson County
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen rental skid steer on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The yellow and grey John Deere 333P skid steer owned by Equipment Share was being used to install fiber optic lines in Burleson County. The equipment had been parked at the intersection of County Road 443 and FM 50 and was last seen on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
Using GPS tracking data provided by the rental company, officials located the skid steer in a wooded area on private property in the Clay community near Snook. They say the equipment was visible from the road.
A search warrant was obtained and executed. The equipment was positively identified by matching identification numbers. The skid steer was returned to the rental company without damage.
