College Station Police arrested a man after he threatened to kill a door to door salesman. They responded to a call in the Nantucket Subdivision in South College Station on Tuesday around 5:00pm. They were contacted by a door to door salesman who says he was threatened by a relative of a woman with whom he had recently spoken. The solicitor says he had scheduled an appointment with a woman to give her an estimate on new windows and had moved on to another home. That’s when 58-year-old Matthew Daniel Brown approached the salesman and threatened to kill him. Brown claims he thought the salesman was trying to take advantage of his 87-year-old mother and admitted to driving around the neighborhood trying to “track him down.” Because the salesman was in fear of imminent serious bodily injury, Brown was arrested and charged with making a Terroristic Threat. He is free on $3,000 bond. Got a news tip? e-mail us at news@wtaw.com, text us at (979) 695-1620, or reach out on Facebook or Twitter/X.
