A Celebration of Life will be held tonight for Hannah Rapp. The celebration will take place from 6pm to 7 pm at Christland Church, located at 4050 Hwy 6 South in College Station. A visitation will also be held from 4pm to 6pm.

According to her obituary, Rapp and her fiancé Will moved to College Station in 2024. They both found jobs at Texas A&M, him teaching civil engineering and her working for the Environmental Health and Safety team.

She trained as a boxer at Bryan Boxing Gym, earning an 8-1-1 professional record. Her one loss came last month, as she fought Tiara Brown for the WBC Women’s Featherweight World Championship. In Rapp’s obituary, Brown is quoted as saying, “Hannah Rapp was the best dance partner I have ever faced as a pro. When she asked for my autograph, it filled my heart because we were getting ready for war, yet she was still asking for my autograph. It made me smile. It was my honor to share the ring with her.”

Rapp was always involved in athletics. In high school in Indiana, she competed in basketball, cross country, soccer, and track and field. At Purdue University, she competed in track and field and was an active member of Purdue Ultimate Frisbee. She graduated in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental and ecological engineering and a minor in political science.

Friends and family are encouraged to wear Crocs and bright colors—especially those representing Yorktown High School, Purdue University, Texas A&M University, boxing club shirts or lime green, one of Hannah’s signature colors. In honoring Hannah, may we continue to share the light, love, kindness, uniqueness and joy she brought into the world, carrying her legacy forward for generations to come.
