Texas A&M Men’s Tennis Adjusts NCAA First Round Start Time

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

Due to predicted inclement weather, the Texas A&M men’s tennis team’s NCAA Championship first-round match versus Wagner will not start before 6 p.m. at the Mitchell Tennis Center Friday.

Texas A&M and Wagner’s match will now start at the same time as the Stanford and Penn match. Any additional changes to start times will be announced through the team’s social and on 12thman.com.

The 11-seeded Aggies enters the NCAA First & Second Rounds with a 19-9 record. The Maroon & White are coming off a semifinal run in the SEC Tournament, where they defeated Vanderbilt, 4-2, and Oklahoma, 4-3, before falling to the eventual champions, Texas, 4-2.

Texas A&M has advanced to the NCAA postseason every season since 1994 and are hosting the First & Second Rounds for 19th time since the NCAA implemented the 64-team draw in 1999.

This is the first matchup in history between Wagner (14-7) and Texas A&M. The Seahawks clinched its first-ever Northeast Conference Championship to earn its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Fans can watch the match through the live stream or follow with live stats. For more information on the tournament, visit the tournament hub.
