For the fifth time, Bryan Broadcasting’s Candy 95 is one of ten radio stations around the country that has received a national award for year-round community service.
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) presented the Crystal Award Tuesday morning (March 3) at the NAB’s state leadership conference in Washington D.C.
Accepting the Crystal was Bryan Broadcasting vice president and general manager Ben Downs.
Award recipients were chosen by a panel of judges representing the broadcast industry, community service organizations and public relations firms.
Ten winners were chosen from a field of 50 finalists. This year’s finalists included for the first time, Bryan Broadcasting’s LaJefa 102.7.
There has been at least one Bryan Broadcasting radio station which has been a finalist in 14 years out of the last 17, dating back to 2010.
Candy 95’s prior Crystal Awards were in 2012, 2018, 2019, and 2024. Candy 95 was also a finalist in 2011, 2016, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Bryan Broadcasting’s WTAW was a finalist in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
And Bryan Broadcasting’s Peace 107 was a finalist in 2020.
