News release from Texas A&M Athletics:
The No. 2 Texas A&M women’s tennis team claimed a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship with a 4-0 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils Tuesday at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
The Aggies improved to 5-0 and have yet to drop a point in the spring campaign. With the victory, Texas A&M claimed a spot at the Indoor Championships February 6-10 in Illinois.

Smetannikov kept the momentum on the Aggies side, making quick work of Bartanusz, 6-0, 6-2 on court 5. Reed put the Maroon & White on the brink of victory with her 6-3, 6-3 win over Svetac on court 3. A double-fault ended the match as Perelman triumphed over Evans on court 6, 6-2, 6-4.
No. 34 Kupres and Perez were nearing match point on court 1 and court 2, respectively, when the contest ended.
