Aggie Divers Close Out Day 1 of Texas Diving Invitational

The Texas A&M diving teams tallied a trio of top 10 finishes on day one of the Texas Diving Invitational on Thursday at the Jamail Texas Swim Center.

In the women’s 3-meter drive, sophomore Bridget Foster was the Aggies’ top finisher with a sixth-place effort and a score of 294.45. Right behind was sophomore teammate Julie Moons in 10th place with a 271.75 point total.

For the men’s team, freshman Emilio Trevino placed ninth with a score of 328.0 on the 1-meter board.

In preliminary action, sophomore Gabby Filzen added a 13th-place score of 274.05 in the women’s 3-meter, while sophomore Nathan Stone and sophomore Charles Reuter placed 14th and 19th with scores of 307.25 and 277.55, respectively, on the men’s 1-meter, while senior Matthew Aigner rounded out the action with a top-25 score of 224.35.

The Maroon & White return to action Saturday with the women’s 1-meter prelims beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the men’s 3-meter prelims at 1:40 p.m. Finals for the men start at 5:00 p.m. and the women’s final will begin at 6:30 p.m. Live results can be found at DiveMeets.com.
