A College Station man arrested for drug possession is also charged with bribery after telling police officers he would pay them $10,000 if they let him go.
According to the Texas A&M Police arrest report, a traffic stop for an expired registration sticker led to a search of the suspect’s truck where officers found marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
After transporting 20 year-old Sabin Stribling to the Brazos County Jail, he told officers, “I’ll give y’all ten thousand dollars to just let me go.”
Stribling made similar statements in a non-joking manner and then asked if anyone ever escaped jail before.
Stribling is jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $18,000.
