A Bryan man goes to jail for the eighth time since May of 2024 after being caught squatting in an apartment. The Bryan police arrest report says 22 year old Tylik Williams was in a vacant apartment in a complex that has had no utilities since December of 2024, went through foreclosure in June 2025, and is scheduled to be auctioned. Williams was released from jail after posting a $2,000 dollar bond after being arrested for criminal trespassing. Court records show Williams was sentenced to jail time five times between May of 2024 and April of 2025. Court records show Willams was supposed to serve 540 days after pleading guilty three times to criminal trespassing and twice for misdemeanor theft. Jail records show Williams served 243 days.
Bryan police responding to a neighbor’s report of a stranger in a backyard led a Bryan man’s fifth trip to jail in 14 months. The BPD arrest report says 35 year old Timmie Calhoun Jr. admitted going into the home on August 1st. But he denied returning to the same home two more times. Calhoun, who was charged with the burglary of a home occupied a woman who had been away for over a year, is also awaiting trial from an arrest in January 2025 on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing and possessing marijuana and a dangerous drug. As of August 8th, Calhoun remains jailed in lieu of a $20,000 dollar bond.
