TxDOT Announces Temporary Road Closure Tuesday Morning

News release from TxDOT Bryan District Office:

Beginning Tuesday morning, March 18th, 2025, at 9 a.m., TxDOT’s contractor, Knife River Corporation, will be placing a large sign for the FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway) project that will require the temporary closure of the southbound Wellborn Road (FM 2154) direct connect ramp. Traffic should use Bush Dr (FM 2347) to detour to southbound Wellborn Road. This temporary closure will be in place for about three (3) hours and is necessary to complete the construction in a safe manner for both the workers and the traveling public.

This operation is part of the larger TxDOT FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway) project from north of FM 60 (Raymond Stotzer Parkway) to FM 2154 (Wellborn Road), a length of 3.2 miles, for a total cost of $47.6 million. The purpose of this project is to improve safety, enhance capacity and address congestion along FM 2818 (Harvey Mitchell Parkway) by converting the corridor to a “Super Street” design.

TxDOT and their contactor appreciate everyone’s patience during this closure.
