A Bryan man on probation for his third DWI conviction returns to jail on a new drunk driving charge.

The BPD arrest report says on Tuesday afternoon (November 5), a car driven by 65 year old Miguel Gallegos-Mauricio struck a utility pole and a privacy fence before coming to a stop on top of a shed in the backyard of a home west of the downtown area.

The driver said he was going too fast and lost control.

Online court records show in May of 2023, Mauricio was placed on six years community service after pleading guilty to his third DWI that happened December 19, 2020.

As of November 7, Mauricio remains jailed in lieu of an $8,000 dollar bond.
