Another neighborhood in Bryan gets to limit the number of unrelated occupants under the same roof to two.

That follows unanimous approval during October’s Bryan city council meeting to establish a residential neighborhood conservation (RNC) district.

This applies to a neighborhood east of the Blinn College campus, in the fifth phase of the Briar Meadows Creek subdivision.

More than two-thirds of the residents in the 60 lot neighborhood approved the RNC designation. This includes portions of Peterson Way, Evan Circle, and Peterson Circle.

The district was also unanimously recommended by the planning and zoning commission.

Councilman James Edge, who made the motion to approve, said “I just think it’s remarkable both P&Z and the residents are all in favor of this rezoning. So I’m really excited about that. You don’t get that opportunity very often.”
