News release from Texas A&M Athletics:
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team opens its fall slate Friday night with an exhibition contest against Houston Christian at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and scheduled to last 12 innings.
Admission and parking are FREE to the public and concession stands will be open. Friday’s contest provides fans their first look at the 2025 squad that returns 22 letter winners from its run to the College World Series Finals a season ago.
The Aggies are entering their first season under head coach Michael Earley, who helped the Aggies to a pair of trips to the College World Series during his time as an assistant the last three years. During his tenure in Aggieland, Earley has developed Texas A&M into one of the most powerful and potent offenses in the country.
In addition to the 22 returners from a season ago that features All-Americans Gavin Grahovac, Jace LaViolette and Ryan Prager, Earley and his staff welcomed 27 newcomers in the offseason. Among the newcomers, seven landed on Baseball America’s annual top-100 transfers list in Myles Patton, Wyatt Henseler, Gavin Kash, Connor “Bear” Harrison, Grant Cunningham, Jacob Galloway and Jamal George.
The two sides met a season ago at Blue Bell Park with the Aggies coming away with a 6-3 victory.
