HOUSTON – Sophomore Jake Maggert completed action at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic tied for 23rd place to pace a group of four Texas A&M men’s golfers participating as individuals.
Maggert fired a 2-over 74 Tuesday and wrapped up the three-round tournament at the par-72, 7,184-yard Westwood Golf Club at 2-under 214. LSU’s Noah McWilliams won a three-golfer playoff to claim the individual title after he tied with a pair of Rice players, Lukas Boandl and Daniel Zou, at 12-under 204
One day after recording a career-best round of 5-under-67 in the afternoon circuit, Jack Usner registered a 1-over 73 Tuesday. The three-round mark of even 216 was good enough for 31st place.
Alex Long finished his collegiate debut in 49th place, registering a 5-over 221. Dallas Hankamer rounded out the group with a 237.
