One of seven public speakers at this week’s Brazos County commission meeting (September 24) asked for help with traffic being detoured on a dirt road.

85 year old Mary Mize says she’s lived on Mize Road for 66 years and wants to live at least another 10 years in her home.

Mize says school buses and semis are among the 80 vehicles a day who use the dirt road to get around bridge construction on Grassbur Road east of Bryan.

Mize put on a mask as she was describing the conditions when she is outdoors.

Because her request was not on the meeting agenda, by state law commissioners could not respond.
