Coach’s Quotes

Head coach Pat Henry on the team’s performance at the NCAA Championships

“I’m very proud of our group and I thought we competed extremely well at the NCAA Championships. Everyone who go out there on the track or in the field gave it their all. We had some things go our way and some go against us, but we were in the running for the team championships and competed right to the end.”

A&M was in the hunt for a team title, however an unfortunate incident at the NCAA West First Round left the team without star hurdler Connor Schulman at the national meet. Victor Kibiego was also unable to finish the men’s 3,000m steeplechase at the championships, where he entered the meet with the third-best time in the country. Despite their challenges, the Aggies battled hard and secured a national champion on both the men’s and women’s side.
