TEXAS A&M IN THE SEC

Texas A&M (39-12) finished third in the SEC standings with a 15-9 record. It marked the highest finish in the SEC since joining the league, while the 15 wins are second most in program history behind the 2017 team’s 16 wins. Ol’ Sarge’s charges rank in the top five of the SEC in numerous offensive categories, including the second most stolen bases (69) runs (331), batting average (.309) and on-base percentage (.412), while ranking third in RBI (285), fourth in slugging percentage (.516) and fifth in home runs (59). The pitching staff has allowed the second fewest hits (242), as well as second in the SEC in opposing batting average (.203). The Aggies have yielded 137 runs, the fifth fewest in the league.

KOKO LOKO

Junior Koko Wooley has been a headache for opposing teams offensively and defensively by swiping extra bases with her world-class speed and flashing the leather at shortstop. The speedster is heating up heading into the postseason batting 10-for-15 with a 1.373 OPS, while adding fives runs and three stolen bases in Texas A&M’s last 10 games. Despite missing a dozen games this season, Wooley’s 18 stolen bases leads the Aggies and ranks fifth in the SEC.

FIRINING ON ALL CYLINDERS

Senior Trinity Cannon is firing on all cylinders heading into the final regular season weekend. In the last 10 games, Cannon is hitting .360 at the plate with 13 RBI, while registering an astonishing 1.409 OPS, including a .880 slugging percentage with four home runs and one double. Cannon leads the Aggies with 14 multi-RBI games and has reached base consecutively in six games. The four-year starter has improved her batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and OPS each season of her career, while setting career-highs this year in home runs (14) and RBI (51).

TWO-OUT TERROR

Most notably, the graduate is registering an astonishing 1.344 OPS with runners in scoring position and two outs, including two home runs, two doubles and five walks.
