Astros put on hitting display against Twins; Rangers’ late rally comes up short to Dodgers

The Houston Astros put together 20 hits en route to a 14-3 shellacking of Minnesota Sunday.

Michael Brantley finished 4-for-5 with four RBIs and Carlos Correa and Kyle Tucker each collected three hits.

It was an emphatic end to a long road trip for the ‘Stros, who went 6-3 away from Minute Maid.

Out in Los Angeles, the Texas Rangers came up short to the Dodgers, 5-3.

Texas scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th and had a chance for more until Nick Solak grounded out with the bases loaded.

With the loss, the Rangers now sit at 25-41 on the season.
