BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ LSU is self-imposing a one-year bowl ban this season as part an effort to cooperate with an NCAA probe into rules violations. Much of the NCAA’s investigation of LSU’s football program pre-dates the promotion of Ed Orgeron to head coach during the 2016 season and the hiring of athletic director Scott Woodward in 2019. Orgeron says he “respects the university’s decision to proactively address NCAA issues from the past.” LSU says the bowl ban comes in addition to other recent self-imposed penalties including scholarship reductions. The university says its decision “reflects LSU’s commitment to compliance with NCAA regulations.”

Bryan Police Advisory About Right Turn On Red Traffic Signals Going Away At Some Intersections
The Bryan police department is advising motorists of the city’s first intersection involving a median that no longer allows a right turn on a red light. Officer Seth Waller says the first location is by the post office, affecting motorists making a right turn from Nash to William Joel Bryan (WJB) towards the freeway. Waller says that’s because WJB traffic headed towards downtown can make a U-turn at Nash. Waller says officers have been issuing warnings. Speaking on March 20, 2025, Waller said officers will start issuing tickets in about a week or so. Click below to hear comments from Seth Waller, visiting with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
