A Bryan man’s third trip to jail in as many months follows his arrest on charges of threatening an Army soldier with a baseball bat outside a Bryan hotel.

According to the Bryan police arrest report, the soldier pulled out a pistol because he was threatened by the bat.

Then the man with the bat shattered the rear window of a pickup truck belonging to another guest and climbed inside the truck.

26 year old Tyler Thayer of Bryan was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal trespassing.

According to online records, Thayer was out on bond awaiting three trials on misdemeanor charges. Two involve thefts that took place in June and the other involves evading arrest from March of 2018.

Thayer remained in jail Monday morning in lieu of bonds on the new charges totaling $32,000 dollars
