USA Racquetball announces their 2020 National Singles Championships will be held at the Texas A&M Rec Center this spring.
Bryan College Station Sports + Events Manager, Courtney Fegter, says the tournament brings 600 to 700 participants, plus family, friends and fans.
“They’re going to spend money in our restaurants, of course staying in our hotels and shopping, hitting up the gas stations and grocery stores, things that make such a huge impact on our community,” said Fegter.
Fegter says the event is estimated to have an economic impact of over $430,000.
The national event will be held Memorial Day weekend and utilize the Texas A&M Rec Center racquetball courts.

USA Racquetball announces that their National Singles Championships will be coming to Bryan College Station in May.
BRYAN COLLEGE STATION, Texas – USA Racquetball, the national governing body for racquetball, announced yesterday that the 2020 National Singles Championships will be held May 27-31 in Bryan College Station!
This is a national event, and projects to bring in 600-700 participants over Memorial Day weekend. The event will utilize the Texas A&M Rec Center racquetball courts.
“The sport of racquetball has history in Texas, and we are eager to continue that tradition in Bryan College Station and showcase our community to a national audience. This event is a big deal. Weekday events are a big deal here. Combining those benefits with partners like USA Racquetball and the Texas A&M Recreation Center make this event a homerun for Bryan College Station,” says Dominique Powell, Director of Sports and Events for Bryan College Station Sports + Events.
