U.S. Postal Service Responds To Congressman Bill Flores Comments On The Infomaniacs

The U.S. Postal Service responds to comments from congressman Bill Flores about the recent interruption of mail service.

During Wednesday’s update on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs, Flores questioned why USPS does not have a backup plan when the processing center in north Houston goes down due to the weather.

Late Thursday afternoon, WTAW News received this statement from James Stotts Jr., who is the center’s customer relations coordinator:

“The Postal Service continues to work around-the-clock to restore normal postal operations at the North Houston mail processing facility. We appreciate and understand the concerns of customers, mailers, and elected officials. Regular briefings have been provided to Congressional Members and others to keep them informed of the progress we are making each day. We thank our customers and all stakeholders for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience that may have been experienced.”
