Arrests On Charges Of DWI From A Wrong Way Crash And Theft From A Former Girlfriend’s Mother’s Home

A crash on the freeway in College Station last month involved a wrong way driver who is accused of having a blood alcohol level that’s two and a half times the legal limit. According to the College Station police arrest report, 22 year old Morgan Hilliard of College Station is seen on video drinking two beers and six shots over a 90 minute period at a bar in south College Station before driving away. While there is no mention of anyone being injured in the crash just after midnight on August 3rd, Hilliard was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and to have her blood drawn. The test indicated a B-A-C of point .282. Hilliard was booked in the Brazos County jail Tuesday, then she was released after posting a $3,000 dollar bond.

Bryan police release details Wednesday of an arrest made September 6 that accuses a local man of stealing jewelry from the home of his then-girlfriend’s mother on May 14. 28 year old Jerry Roy Jones is in jail in lieu of bonds totaling $23,000 dollars. According to the arrest report, Jones admitted to pawning but denied taking a gold necklace and two watches…one which had 30 diamonds and had extreme sentimental value. Jones, who was arrested for theft with two prior convictions, is awaiting two trials on felony charges in Brazos County district court. One involves a theft charge from last November, and the other involves a charge of causing an accident involving an injury that happened two years ago. According to online records, Jones has been in the Brazos County jail ten times in the last 11 years, with six of those appearances in the last two and a half years.
