Easterwood Airport’s Original Terminal Building Becoming “Gate 12” Grill & Bar

In May of next year, look for the grand opening of a full service restaurant at Easterwood Airport’s original terminal building.

Local restaurant owner Cody Whitten of J.Cody’s says remodeling starts next month on what will become Gate 12 grill and bar.

Gate 12 will have a seating capacity 170 and a projected employment of 20 to 25.

Whitten’s interest in the location goes back to his parent’s crop dusting business.

Gate 12 is one of two private business agreements made at the last meeting of the Texas A&M system board of regents meeting. The other, is the new Brookshire Brothers grocery store being built on Texas A&M’s west campus.
