Two children, ages two and three, were placed in state custody after their mother was arrested on child endangerment charges.

A Bryan police officer who responded to the apartment of 21 year old Jade Phillips earlier this year was called out again last Thursday morning.

According to the BPD arrest report, that’s after a neighbor reported seeing the children naked and out in the parking lot.

Phillips told the officer she did not secure a chain lock at the top of the door, and while she was asleep the three year old opened a safety gate and the front door.

In a prior incident, the mother is accused of leaving the children outside a Walmart in a parked vehicle for more than ten minutes.

Phillips was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $30,000 dollars.
