A Bryan man has been arrested on a charge of robbing a cousin at gunpoint.

According to the arrest report from Bryan police, both the suspect and the victim ran away from the robbery…but not before the victim told a co-worker what happened and the co-worker gave police descriptions of both men.

The holdup took place in the parking lot of a church on North Texas between Stevens and Woodville.

The suspect, who one of the officers recognized from a prior incident, was found in a nearby mobile home.

According to the arrest report, the victim says 18 year old Jatarious Ginn tried to take $400 dollars.

Then Ginn ran away when the victim told his cousin he would have to shoot him to get the money.

Ginn accused the victim of trying to steal $200 dollars and hitting him in the face three times…though officers noted no visible injuries.

Ginn, who is in the Brazos County jail for the third time in nine months, is being held in lieu of a $12,000 dollar bond on an aggravated robbery charge.

The victim, who was found about three blocks from the robbery, said he ran away because he feared there was an arrest warrant against him. According to online records, the victim was not arrested.
