Texas A&M Student Named To The A&M System Board Of Regents

Levi McClenny is a 3rd-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station. Additionally, he is a member of the United States Army Reserves, currently serving in an Aviation Battalion in Conroe, Texas as a Platoon Leader and Blackhawk pilot. He is a Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M and is currently collaborating with the Army Research Lab on research areas of interest to the Department of Defense.

Mr. McClenny holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M, completed in 2015 and 2016 respectively. During his undergraduate years, he was a member of the Aggie Band, in the Corps of Cadets, a member of B-Company, and was a founding member of C-Company. While pursuing his Masters, he was selected to serve as the Executive Vice President of Texas A&M’s Student Government; the same year in which he helped co-found the Texas A&M University Career Closet. In 2018, he received the Buck Weirus Spirit Award for his service to the Texas A&M campus community.

Outside of work and school, he is committed to serving his local Texas A&M club, currently serving as a Co-Chair for the Houston A&M Club’s Traditions Luncheon. He also served as Aggie Muster Chair for Ft. Rucker’s Texas A&M Club in 2017 while he was stationed there for flight school.

Mr. McClenny was appointed Student Regent of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents by Governor Greg Abbott. He is serving a one-year term to expire May 31, 2020.
