Saturday night update from Bryan police:
On March 30, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of Virginia Street for a report of an aggravated assault.
The Bryan Police Department arrived and found Jose Armando Pina age 23 of Bryan with an apparent gunshot wound.
Pina was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.
We believe this to be an isolated incident and the general public is not in danger.

Bryan police responded to a shooting Saturday on Virginia Street where a male died.
According to a BPD tweet, officers are now investigating a homicide.
The age and name of the victim have not been released.
