Speakers at the Bryan/College Station chamber of commerce economic outlook forum included the superintendents of the College Station and Bryan school districts.
Common topics shared by CSISD’s Clark Ealy and BISD’s Christie Whitbeck included career and technology education (CTE). Dr. Whitbeck announced the district has received four gifts of $50,000 dollars each towards equipping BISD’s new CTE center on Mumford Road. Joining prior announcements from the Bryan Business Council and Brazos County are the city of Bryan and the Brazos Valley economic development foundation.
Both also talked about locations of vacant land to build future schools. Dr. Ealy stressed no decision has been made on what will be built a 90 acre site owned by CSISD in the area of Dowling and Capstone Roads.
