The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) State Troopers are investigating today a single vehicle fatality crash on State Highway 60, east of County Route 428 in Burleson County.
WTAW News notes the location is on FM 60 about two miles east of Lyons.
The preliminary investigation indicates shortly after noon, a 2000 Chevrolet pick-up was traveling westbound on SH-60 and crossed over to the eastbound ditch.
The pick-up then crossed back over to the westbound ditch striking a culvert at a private drive, causing the pick-up to flip onto its roof.
The driver has been identified as Joshua Medina, 40, of Bryan; he was pronounced deceased on scene by Judge Bill Orsak.
The 16-year-old passenger was transported by ambulance to St Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan with unknown injuries.
This crash remains under investigation and no additional information is available for release at this time.
