Nine Year Renovation Of The Brazos County Courthouse Is Completed

Nine years and $20.6 million dollars have gone into the renovation of the Brazos County courthouse.

A ribbon cutting and open house have been announced for later this month.

County judge Duane Peters says the only hiccup during the five phase renovation is the surprise that led to installing exterior glass.

The judge says even with the unplanned $1 million dollar expense, the county still saved $10 million by renovating over the cost of a new building.

The ribbon cutting and open house is on July 18th from 4 until 6 p.m.
