Results:

Caldwell ISD voters rejected a $28 million dollar bond package. 606 voted no and 559 voted yes.

Original story:

Voters in the Caldwell and Snook school districts will be deciding the fate of bond issues on Saturday.

Early voting in both districts generated a larger turnout than usual.

Caldwell superintendent Andrew Peters considers that a positive for his district’s $28 million dollar proposal. Peters says there is backing from the business community for new space at the high school for career and technology programs.

Snook superintendent Brenda Krchnak says their $7.5 million dollar proposal addresses deficiencies, with new and renovated buildings and new athletic facilities.

Saturday’s voting is from seven until seven at the Snook administration office, and for Caldwell voters at the Burleson County courthouse.
