A Bryan man in the Brazos County jail for almost three years on a murder charge has been arrested for the fourth time while in jail.
39 year old Nathaniel Tillery is awaiting trial for the March 2015 robbery, kidnapping, and death of an employee at the Exxon convenience store at University and the freeway.
According to the arrest report from the sheriff’s office, surveillance video showed Tillery knocking another inmate out of his seat then being beaten repeatedly in the head.
The other inmate, who required surgery for a broken jaw, said he was attacked because he wouldn’t give up his seat.
The victim has returned to detention from the hospital.
Tillery is also awaiting trial on four counts of assaulting public servants in three separate incidents.
