Bryan police officers were sent at three in the morning to the parking lot of an office building off Briarcrest near the freeway, about a block east of Stripes, on the report of someone yelling for help. According to the arrest report, officers found a man outside a parked pickup who was soaking wet. The man told officers he had been trapped in the truck and the truck was smoking on the inside. The officers, who suspected the man was intoxicated, found the entire interior of the truck had been torn apart. That included the dashboard, ignition, and steering column cover being removed. Officers also determined the man took a water hose from the front of the building and soaked the interior. After determining the truck belonged to someone who worked at the office building but was out of town on business, 28 year old Daniel Bradshaw of Bryan was arrested for public intoxication, vehicle burglary, and criminal mischief. According to online records, it’s the 12th time Bradshaw has been booked in the Brazos County jail in the last 11 years.
Responding at 3:30 in the morning to a citizen reporting seeing a vehicle burglary in progress, a Bryan police officer said he saw a truck door open and utility bed light that was on. That led to finding a man wearing only a sports jersey and flip flops and holding a black bag and a flashlight. The man reported he was in the truck because he was being chased by a pit bull. 39 year old Daniel Poullard is accused of taking items from the truck and a nearby parked car, and also opening mailboxes. According to online records, it’s the 17th time Poullard has been booked in the Brazos County jail in the last ten years.
An 18 year old Bryan man is in jail for the sixth time this year. Darian Taylor’s latest arrest, by Bryan police last week, was for a daytime vehicle burglary on October 26th in the parking lot of The Retreat apartments on Providence. According to the arrest report, Taylor admitted to entering unlocked vehicles and taking property. Investigators also had videos from the apartment showing he was there.
In the Brazos County online court system, there are seven people with the name of William West. One of them is accused by the Bryan city marshal of having an extensive history with local law enforcement for being aggressive, combative towards authority, and argumentative. That’s according to the city marshal’s arrest report released this week, regarding a disturbance in Bryan municipal court on September sixth. 65 year old William Donald West of Bryan is out of jail on bond after he was arrested because he “recklessly hindered he official proceeding by his noise and tumultuous behavior.” Specifically, West is accused of swearing in the courtroom, refusing to answer the judge’s questions, and pushing a door into a deputy marshal.
